This week we explore:
Our trudge towards the AI singularity
Anthropic can’t stay out of the headlines
Rollercoaster Tycoon for Data Centers is coming
New Display Glasses from Meta could be coming later this year
First FDA approved human trials to reverse aging are underway
Artificial Intelligence
Anthropic is challenging every industry with near daily product releases
Recent advancements in Claude’s capabilities are sending the stock market into turmoil. Whether it’s their cybersecurity or remote control for Claude Code Anthropic is taking shots at startups and legacy companies that are struggling to keep up. This had led to claims that their models are being attacked and copied by competitors left and right.
Life imitates art - HBO’s Silicon Valley foreshadowed AI engineering mistakes being made without guardrails
Straight out of a TV show Amazon’s AWS went down for 13 hours because the AI their engineers was using decided that their code was garbage and the best way to fix the bugs was to quite literally delete all their code. This decision took down a portion of AWS for more than half a day. Welcome to 2026 where autonomous AI agents are taking down parts of the Internet.

We are accelerating towards the AI singularity
We are headed down a path it doesn’t seem we can avoid. As we make progress in every industry there is a compounding effect that brings each subsequent breakthrough that much closer. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s something that you should stay informed about in order to stay prepared for what’s to come.
Hopefully this financial outlook based on AI impact by Citrini predicting what the world will look like in 2028 is far off the mark.

Data Center Simulator Video Game
Rollercoaster Tycoon for data centers is here and it is quite interesting both as a game and educational material. With the influx of data center construction already kicking off there is a big gap in the humans capable of performing the jobs that would accelerate their creation. This game could help train a new generation of hardware and software technicians that specialize in creating the infrastructure that powers our future….or our downfall.
Meta Ray-Ban Display is getting a successor
After trying out the single display v1 of the Display glasses this is positive news in our opinion. Have dual displays and hopefully an increase in basic use cases will help this device succeed. The entire industry is waiting for Apple to throw their hat in the ring with AI glasses, but maybe Meta and Google will be too far ahead by the time they do with AI glasses that also have displays.

We are about to test whether we can reverse aging in humans for the first time in history
Harvard Scientist David Sinclair is preparing some of the brightest minds and influential businessmen for the upcoming human trials that could be pivotal for our future on this planet. A world where serious disease and aging are as treatable as a cold. If we do succeed in reaching this world there will be economic benefits as well, but by then AI might be doing all the work

Element Biosciences is a startup that debuted a $100 DNA sequencer
The cost of sequencing a genome has reduced dramatically over the last few decades and is reaching a price point that would’ve seemed impossible in the past. Democratizing DNA sequencing will lead to more accessibility for research that previously required a ton of funding.
Advancements like these could be why influential figures are discussing how drug discovery will go from decades to months.

Our vision
Anthropic and Claude have become mainstays in the headlines. Whether it’s new product announcements or revealing they’re being attacked by competitors they seem to be in the spotlight amongst the AI darlings of tech. I’ve been using Claude for weeks now to build products and experiences that would’ve taken months or years in the past compressed down to hours or days. If you haven’t tried it I can’t stress it enough, Claude or Gemini or ChatGPT needs to be integrated into your day-to-day work regardless of what you do. I’m confident there is a way it will improve your life. If you don’t see the singularity coming it’s going to swallow you whole.
Meta’s potential Ray-Ban Display successor is getting us closer to truly lightweight AR glasses that companies like Apple, Google, Samsung and Snap are racing to bring to market in a sleek form factor and affordable price. For now it seems we will get a product that is somewhat fashionable and somewhat affordable but at least we are making progress. I’m really excited to see where we go from here as more fuel is poured on the AI/AR glasses fire.
Lastly the first human trials to investigate the potential to reverse aging feels like it’s not even real. Science fiction level breakthroughs are on the horizon, and you’re sitting around still eating junk food, drinking soda and drinking every weekend. If you haven’t caught on yet, you don’t want to die from something stupid in the next few years with all the potential treatments and cures that are making their way to the public.
