Vibe coding is making it too easy to build software

Whether you’re using Replit, Claude, Gemini or the plethora of other options to build software without writing a single line of code yourself we have entered the golden age of democratized software creation. While this will bring plenty of slop, it presents one of the best opportunities of our lifetime to make money on the internet.

What used to take years or months now takes days. You won’t be able to ignore this when people around you start making 10s of thousands a month from a simple app idea.

Meta adds teleprompter and support for physical handwriting to their Ray-Ban Display glasses

The update is still in early access but the new features are being tested with real users out in the world. Giving presentations and speeches will get a whole lot easier with a virtual teleprompter.

The handwriting feature is interesting and I wonder how accurate it is and how it feels to write that way. (I just tried it on my macbook and it felt weird not holding anything and trying to write, but that’s only one attempt with no visual feedback)

Our vision

2026 has already put it’s foot on the gas. We can feel the acceleration of progress all around us and what a better way to throw fuel on the fire than with CES. We’ve seen announcements of new energy breakthroughs, robotics demonstrations, chips that continue to defy limits and holographic AI buddies to hangout in our office with us. Next week we’ll do a deep dive but CES has us excited about what’s to come this year.

NVIDIA and Lucid both show commitment and resolve in autonomous driving which is really making me think that my kids (both under 2) are not going to be getting a license and driving a car the way I did as a teenager. We’ll probably just use our phones or glasses to get a car from the autonomous fleet on demand.

On the coding front we’ve been building things at light speed. The amount of progress you can make as a solo engineer now is astounding. In one day I took 3 ideas from concept to reality and even deployed a website for Ronin Ventures. The golden age of software creation is upon us, are you ready to capitalize and finally build that “amazing idea” you’ve had for years?

Lastly for this week it looks like the AI glasses and portable display glasses market is off to a hot start with a bunch of new collabs and announcements. How comfortable and useful these glasses are will be seen over the coming weeks when reviews pour in. Maybe we’ll start doing our own product reviews this year.

We couldn’t be more excited for this year and to see where technology takes us. Will there be ups and downs and probable job loss? Yes. But we’re here to help you navigate this uncertain yet exciting future.
